About this event
Event Description:
Because his district office isn’t actually in the district, Congressman Abe Hamadeh’s staff will be holding “mobile office hours” inside the Peoria Public Library — and we’ll be outside, helping CD-8 constituents be heard.
Hamadeh’s been hard to get a hold of. His staff didn’t even show up at his last mobile office hours. So we’re inviting registered CD8 voters to write a letter or statement ahead of time — then drop by the library anytime between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM to drop it off at our table. If you prefer, you can also write your message on-site. The more messages we collect, the louder our voices will be.
(Confirm your CD8 voter status at: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative)
Hamadeh’s been avoiding constituents, so let’s create a steady stream of voices he can’t ignore — polite, powerful, and persistent.
✊ Also happening: The Peace Train Caravan
We’ll be ending our Good Trouble Caravan — the Peace Train 2025 — at this same location. You’ll see decorated cars arriving to show support for civil rights and community power. Feel free to join the caravan or simply cheer it on as it arrives at the library. You can join the caravan at https://www.mobilize.us/northwestvalleyindivisible/event/812030/
🎒 Help LGBTQ+ Homeless Youth
We’re also collecting donations at the library drop site to support LGBTQ+ homeless youth in Arizona — those hit hardest by political cruelty and neglect.
Suggested donation items include: – New socks, underwear, bras, hygiene supplies
– Nonperishable snacks, granola bars, trail mix
– Gift cards (Visa, Fry’s, DSW, etc.)
– School supplies, backpacks, flash drives, notebooks
