SURPRISE, AZ — March 24, 2025 — At 9 a.m. this morning, more than 65 constituents gathered outside the Surprise office of Representative Hamadeh to peacefully demand a public town hall. The demonstration, organized by Northwest Valley Indivisible, was focused on a single, clear message: constituents deserve the opportunity to engage directly with their elected official.

Shortly after the protest began, a senior citizen’s vehicle was towed from the parking lot at the direction of Josh Lyons, a staffer in Rep. Hamadeh’s office. Western Towing later confirmed that Lyons made the call. This is the second time in two weeks that a tow truck has been onsite during a constituent protest at Hamadeh’s office. The woman, who was joining this group for the first time, had inadvertently parked in the lot, unaware of earlier messaging about parking restrictions. No warning was given prior to the tow.

Later during the protest, a man expressing support for Donald Trump parked in the same lot and proceeded to verbally harass attendees. Witnesses report that he used obscenities, got in people’s faces, and interfered with police officers and paramedics who were responding to a medical emergency. Despite instructions from law enforcement to step back, no action was taken to tow his vehicle.

“It’s outrageous that Rep. Hamadeh’s office chose to tow the car of a peaceful senior participant without warning, while allowing a man to harass protesters and obstruct police without consequence,” said Brent Peak, co-chair of Northwest Valley Indivisible. “Constituents are showing up peacefully to request a town hall. This response is unacceptable.”

The protest remained calm and focused throughout, with community members holding signs asking Representative Hamadeh to meet publicly with the people he represents. Organizers say they will continue to demand transparency, accountability, and access.

Constituents are calling on Representative Hamadeh to schedule a public town hall immediately.
