This July 4th, Jump on the Peace Train. You’ve heard of a Trump Train? Well, we’re doing that, but for peace, nonviolence, government accountability, freedom and democracy.
Naming ourselves after the epic song, “Peace Train” by Cat Stevens, we’re an informal, nonpartisan group of people, mainly from Congressional District 8 in Arizona.
To ensure our message and momentum doesn’t wither in the summer heat, we’re gonna keep on keeping on in the form of a caravan. Grab a friend and join us for a 45-minute leisurely drive around the beautiful West Valley. Enjoy the morning while you diffuse our message of peace and democracy, and get home in plenty of time for your BBQ. For safety reasons, please try to have at least 1 passenger who will serve as a Copilot and photographer.
Decorate your car in one of the following themes: No Kings, American flags, peace. A small amount of decorations may be available to help you put finishing touches on your vehicle. (NoKings.org has downloadable graphics.) Be sure to really do it up!
You’ll receive a link to a detailed toolkit that you’ll receive after registering; please be sure to read that for instructions and a playlist of historic protest songs to listen to while you drive.
We will provide a written route on site. (We’ll be cruising near Bell Road in Surprise.)
For safety reasons, please keep the address private (only disclose to those registered for the event).
Event Marshals will be available on site to direct you where to line up your cars and get any last minute instructions.
