About this event
In honor of John Lewis and the fight for civil rights
We’re flipping the Trump Train narrative. This is a rolling protest for peace, equality, and civil rights—because the attacks on our freedoms aren’t subtle anymore.
Across Arizona’s 8th District, we’re bringing the noise. From the rollback of DEI to the erasure of LGBTQ+ people, Native history, and women’s accomplishments—this is a civil rights emergency.
And they’re feeling the pressure. Trump tried to clap back at our No Kings protest by endorsing Abe Hamadeh for reelection—even though he just started his first term. That’s not strategy. That’s panic. So we’re doubling down.
✊ This is a protest with purpose.
As we drive in honor of John Lewis and his call to make “Good Trouble,” we’ll also be collecting supplies for LGBTQ+ homeless youth in Arizona—those most at risk from this political cruelty.
Donations will be collected at the final stop of our route: the Peoria Public Library, where we’ll also be dropping off messages for Rep. Abe Hamadeh. If you’d like, you may bring a brief handwritten letter of concern to include in the drop. Provide your name and address to confirm your residence in CD8.
Suggested donation items:
– New socks, underwear, bras, hygiene supplies
– Nonperishable snacks, granola bars, nuts/trail mix
– Gift cards (Visa, Fry’s, DSW, etc.)
– School supplies, backpacks, flash drives, notebooks
